A Super Spring
Last week was the AADR and IADR meetings in San Diego. It was our spring break, and just as luck might have it, it was warmer in Des Moines than in southern California. I presented my research for an hour and fifteen minutes. Translation: I stood by my poster and answered a few questions from people passing through the exhibit hall...and I was poster #3373.
My mom made the trip with me, and we didn't leave the neighborhood known as "the Gaslamp District" for 4 straight days. So much to do and see. Actually, for us it was more like buy, eat, and drink.
Back to reality this week. I am in the dreaded 20 week rotation known simply as "Super Block." End date is 7/1/2011, if I get everything finished. It hasn't been so super. It's been quite stressful, actually. I'm trying to take it one day at a time. I will try to post more pictures on the blog...which may become more of a "photo journal." We shall see :)
