IZZY
I'm officially a cat person. Never thought I would say that. Never thought I would be OK sharing my pillow with an animal. Boy, have I changed in the last 3 weeks.
I had toyed with the idea of adopting a cat a while back (I think I even have a post about it). I blame Julie Coyne for this, though. She starts looking for a puppy (and buys one!), I start looking at kitties...you see where this is going.
So, Tasha and I went down to the shelter. We walked into the "cat room" where 50 cats immediately started purring, pacing, and scratching with excitement. Every single cat...except one. One gray beauty looked at me calmly with her big green eyes, then fell back asleep. I totally fell in love. I went back 2 days later to submit my application, and picked her up on Friday.
Those who know Reid can probably guess what his reaction was. I'm sure I'll be posting lots of pictures of her, because she is just so freakin' photogenic it's not even funny. But, I suppose I'm biased :)
